Website and web application development

Website and web application development end to end: from the first conversation about the task to launch and support. We build things that live in the browser and have to withstand real load, not just look good in a layout.

A web application differs from a website not in the number of pages but in the fact that people work inside it. A website is read, while in a web application people create requests, approve them, track them, pay and generally run their business.

We build both, but we always design from the needs of your business. If you need a website today and a customer account or internal system grows out of it a year from now, it is better to plan for that straight away than to rewrite later.

We can develop from scratch or pick up a project after another team. Entering code written by someone else always works the same way with us: first we understand what has been built and what it rests on, then we compare it against the real business objective, and only after that do we work through the documentation and start.

Design, frontend, backend and infrastructure live inside one team, so a task never gets stuck between contractors. If the idea has not been tested yet, you can start with a prototype or an MVP rather than full development. How this looks on live projects can be seen in the Silent Notary and SignItNow case studies.

What the service covers

Any combination of the items below can be taken on its own.

Corporate sites and landing pages

Multilingual sites with a structure built for search, editable content and loading speed we are not ashamed of.

Web applications and business portals

Customer accounts, internal systems, admin panels. Everything with roles, permissions and data that must not be lost.

Online stores and catalogues

Catalogues, carts, payments, integration with the warehouse, delivery, analytics and CRM.

Integrations

Data exchange with CRM, payment systems, mail and any external API, including the ones with no documentation.

Speed and search

Server-side rendering, sensible page weight, markup and a sitemap, so that pages get indexed instead of queueing.

Support and development

We do not drop the project after launch: we watch for errors, update dependencies and add what the business asks for.

How we work

01
Discovery

We talk it through and find out what the product is for and which metrics measure success. The output is a list of scenarios, risks and technical documentation, not a list of pages.

3-5 days
02
Prototype and estimate

We assemble the structure and the key screens, show them as a clickable prototype and give an estimate by stage. Disagreements are cheaper to settle here, before a single line of code is written.

1-2 weeks
03
Design and markup

Layouts for every screen size, then the frontend. We work for quality rather than for shipping something and closing the contract: rebuilding what is already assembled costs more than doing it right the first time.

from 2 weeks
04
Backend and integrations

Data, databases, access rights, external systems. Everything that makes a site or a web application look like one whole product in the browser rather than a set of screens.

in parallel
05
Launch and support

We move the product to the production server, set up monitoring, stay on call for the first weeks and plan what comes next.

Frequently asked questions

The price depends on what is inside: a landing page and a portal with roles differ by an order of magnitude. After the discovery stage we give an estimate broken down by stage, so you can see what you are paying for.

Yes. The first stage is often a working version with one key scenario, and everything else is added after launch.

We do. First we look at what has been built, assess its condition and say plainly what is cheaper to improve and what to rewrite.

Everything is set by the contract, and we put it in writing at the specification stage, before the work starts. During the project the team works either on our infrastructure or on yours: the choice depends on the complexity of the project and on whether you already have infrastructure in place. Every approved stage is transferred to your servers and your repository, so the work accumulates on your side rather than ours. Once the project is closed, all code, materials and documentation are handed over to you together with the rights to them.

Yes, it is a separate agreement: on-call duty, updates and further development of the product.
